An intimate club where you really meet the audience who appreciate a funky soulful blues at the start of the night and a boogie later on when the tables are pushed back. The stage is tiny but we cozy up fine and breath in the body odours to get to know each other a little better. Crowd consists of music fans, visiting Bulgarian Potash merchants with a sprinkling of hen nighters and lost liggers of the night. We encourage audience participation and tambourine shaking by anyone who fancies playing in the band.

The Old Explorer is a friendly pub with cheerful staff and an enthusiastic landlord called Martin. It's large with a chill-out basement area if you don't fancy getting on down with the band. Sells full menu of food. The man in the gent's toilet will sing you a song if you ask nicely. Clientele is mixed with music lovers, shoppers, tourists - anyone. Nice crowd
