The Big Girls Blues Band is one of the funkiest, bluesiest, soulfullest bands in and around the London clubs and pubs. The band has 8 members - Justin, Jane and Alice on vocals, Roger and Tony on guitars, Michele or Josh on drums , Dek on bass and vocals and Barry on sax.

The band plays a mix of Motown/Trenchtown and Kentish Town including songs by Marvin, Latimore, Stevies Wonder and Ray Vaughan, Robert Cray, 100% Proof Aged in Soul, Al Green, Delbert McClinton, The late Mr Please Please himself, Bobs Marley and Dylan, Tony Tone Toni, Ann Peebles, the Franklin sisters Erma and Aretha - in fact anything that moves the feet, the soul or the furniture....Read more here.



Yes as well as the lovely Jane , the lovely Alice and Justin the groovesome guy with the cowbell, the Big Girls are also proud to perform with a variety of other soulful lovelies. To be sure to be sure we phunk it up regularly in all the usual places with some very special girlies from around the world (wait for it...) Sarah (Co.Cork) , Txako (Seville) , Louise (Edinburgh) , Melanie (er...Derby..) ....Aretha (OK - I lied about Aretha....).

Although the band appears regularly at a number of different venues in the UK and abroad – see the Gigs List! – we still like to fit in some private gigs at weddings, corporate functions and parties. We have travelled far and wide to play in Pinewood Studios, The Celtic Manor in Wales, a Rowing Club in Limerick, Lily's House in Hornsey and a fruit farm in Oporto in Portugal.
